Oral History of the North Isles

Orkney Research Centre for Archaeology & Orkney College UHI are looking for people to be involved in the Oral History project.

Post: Interviewer x 5

Applications are invited for interviewers as part of the North Isles Oral History Project.

You need to be an excellent communicator and able to establish an effective rapport with people. Although training will be given, some experience in undertaking self-directed project work would be an advantage. The team are looking for people able to work on their own initiative and able to meet deadlines as required.

Travel costs will be reimbursed, and you'll be self-employed. The interviewer will be paid up to £1,000 to carry out and transcribe between 15 and 20 interviews.

Applications are welcome by email or letter and should include reasons for applying for the post, what qualities and skills you could bring to the job and some brief details of previous work and education.
