The larger settlements in the North Isles continue to serve as an important hub for their communities but, over time, they have started to face challenges relating to some of their buildings and structures.
Improvement works to a number of the historic settlements in the North Isles will be undertaken, with the focus on enhancing the public character of the settlements and their local facilities.
Works to historic infrastructure and buildings will be carried out, with the aim of consolidating settlements as day-trip destinations for visitors, as well as hubs of community activity.
