Providing an insight into local life, from centuries ago to modern times, these important centres highlight the evolution of each island’s community, economy and environment.
The centres are supported by island heritage groups, predominately made up of volunteers who invest a lot of time and effort into ensuring what they offer is accurate and appealing to locals and visitors alike.
This project will provide a collection of island-wide activities to enable this knowledgable network of volunteers to sustainably develop their heritage offering and realise their full potential and ambition.
